Candle Care Guide

Welcome to our Candle Care Guide! Proper candle care not only enhances your candle's performance but also ensures your safety and prolongs the life of your favorite scents. Follow these simple tips to get the most out of your candles.

1. Trim the Wick

Before lighting your candle, trim the wick to about 1/4 inch. This helps prevent excessive flickering, smoking, and soot buildup.

2. Allow the Wax to Melt Evenly

For the first burn, let the wax melt across the entire surface of the candle. This prevents tunneling and ensures an even burn for future uses. Aim to let the candle burn for at least 2-3 hours, depending on the size.

3. Burn Candles in a Safe Location

Place your candle on a heat-resistant surface, away from drafts, children, and pets. Never leave a burning candle unattended.

4. Keep the Wax Pool Free of Debris

Ensure that the wax pool is free of wick trimmings, matches, and other debris to avoid potential fire hazards.

5. Extinguish the Candle Properly

Use a candle snuffer to extinguish the flame instead of blowing it out. This prevents hot wax from splattering and helps maintain the candle's fragrance.

6. Avoid Burning for Too Long

Do not burn your candle for more than 4 hours at a time. Allow the candle to cool for at least 2 hours before relighting to maintain its structure and fragrance quality.

7. Store Candles Correctly

Store your candles in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures to preserve their scent and color.

8. Know When to Say Goodbye

When only 1/2 inch of wax remains at the bottom, it's time to say goodbye to your candle. This prevents possible overheating of the container and damage to surfaces.
